Professional Experience

I am a consultant, educator, author, lay counselor, and advocate/activist.
My current focus is on bringing awareness and understanding of Dissociation and the Spectrum of Dissociative Effects to the general public.
I have a background in education and the communicative arts, social services, and spiritual and social change leadership.
I hold a Social Service Worker Honors Certificate from Malaspina College, (now called Vancouver Island University).



  • Presented 2 part Webinar for – Inner Structures: Settle In and Get Comfortable
  • Founding membership – The Center for the Study of Empathic Therapy, Education and Living’s Empathic Therapy Network  for psychiatric reform


  • Founding Member – United States Truth and Reconciliation Coalition, (USTRC), which became North American Truth and Reconciliation Coalition (NATRC) in 2011



  • Documentary Interview of me by Ellen Lacter, Healing from Ritual Abuse and Mind Control: Survivor Trish Fotheringham Speaks Out, that became a 3-DVD set with helpful tips, ideas and suggestions those who deal with these issues



  • New Thought Spiritual Leader Participant – community building by-invitation-only “Private Talk” with the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Canada


2004 – 06

  • Creator/Editor/Producer of self-supporting 8 page quarterly Church Newsletter


  • Author – personal experience paper, Letter to the UN, submitted to the 49th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status Women Panel on Ritual Abuse-Torture.

  • Co-Creator – Reaching for Rainbows: Moving Beyond Trauma – educational art show created by and for trauma survivors, about healing from trauma. My creation and development of the educational components about dissociation sparked the initial business name and general concept for “Ideas ‘N More”.
